Max Casual (Studio) is an independent mobile game development studio.

We specialise in casual gaming, perfect for killing time or playing on your daily commute... although we are looking to expand into games that require more time in the future (we're currently working on something top secret!).

Why the name?

We wanted to make it evident that we are a casual gaming company... and Max is not only the name of our office cat, but it also emphasises the fact that we are putting maximum effort into bringing you great casual games!

So many mobile games played, so much time put into playing them... so we thought "why shouldn't we make one?"...

We thought long and hard about the type of games that we could make. Not just run of the mill games, but ones with a unique twist, ones with great replayability, ones that we would play ourselves. Now here we are, making games that we actually care about!

How DO you do it?!

Well, the reality is that we only had some minor coding experience, but we were willing to put in the effort. So we started to work with Chat GPT and Base44 AI to design our games properly... not just throwing in random prompts to make "slop", but having proper conversations about what we wanted to achieve. Putting together thorough, in-depth documentation using Chat GPT and creating understandable, specific prompts for Base44 in order for it to run the design elements in a way that satisfied us... we hope you will agree that the games look great, as well as working to a professional level.

What can we expect from you?

We're glad you asked! We're bringing our first game to Google Play Store very soon! It is a single-player card-based guessing game, with the main Quick Play mode being based on the first round of the popular drinking game 'Ride The Bus' (also known as Irish Poker). There are also 4 challenges to test yourself in (including one based on Play Your Cards Right), a daily play mode and a time trial mode. We also have two other games in the works: A single-player tower building rhythm game, and our top secret online multi-player game (we can tell you that it centres around a certain sport... but you're getting nothing else out of us yet!).

We're hoping to have all three games released by the Q4 2026/Q1 2027.
